I use a high quality human nail clipper. She used to freak out because the cat clippers would crack her claws in half. The human clippers just clip very softly and are much sharper. I’ve had much better luck with these. I have used LOTS of clippers and the best one and most long lasting has been Necoichi’s. Expensive but worth it imho.
