The main difference is the Softail "B" motors have 2 balance weights that are driven by the crank. Typically the "A" motors make a few more ponies, but the difference is very minimal. Also another difference is the a's are rubber mounted to help with vibes. It doesn’t seem like there are any kits floating around, at least on any of the typical sites.
